Well, it’s the start of a new year! That can mean a lot of things to different people. Time to exercise more regularly, for example. Or to eat healthier foods. And recycle more. Or to give more of your time and attention to the people around you. Or to organize your closet.
Am I making you feel terrible yet? I thought so!
Don’t get me wrong. All of those are good things. I myself am doing one of them! Which is: to write more and better fundraising letters.
Fact is, it’s not just a new year! It’s a new odd year. And to those of us who care about who we elect to public office, that means a new election cycle!
My friend, Montana Senator Jon Tester, is up for reelection in 2024. In 2018, he won by just 18,000 votes. This past cycle, Midwest Values PAC gave to a lot of incumbents and challengers for federal and state office and state parties and UNITE HERE’s ground game and on and on. This cycle, we’re maxing out to Tester right away!
Oh! Happy New Year!
P.S. I hope you can help MVP give out what’s called “early money.” And help us build a war chest to help Democrats throughout the next two years.
