The Grinch

Happy holidays to everyone who has contributed this year.  

To the rest of you, we have an election year coming up.

And, okay, happy holidays to you too. But next year, no happy holidays unless you help us defeat those Grinches, the Republicans. (Mitch McConnell is turning greener by the day and Trump, after a good gust of wind, has the hair down!) 

Wow! That Grinch reference was very lame. The kind of thing you see in another fundraising email.

But the point is… well, you know the point. This is the most important election since 1860. 

I know they say that every election. But this isn’t Obama vs. Romney. This election will determine whether we continue to be a democracy. And in addition to supporting Democratic candidates at every level, Midwest Values PAC will continue to invest heavily in battleground states and programs that strengthen democratic efforts.

Meanwhile, enjoy the holidays and time with your friends and loved ones.

P.S. Make sure to tell your loved ones to vote next November. Unless they’re, you know, Grinches.

Somehow, it’s been 20 years since I started Midwest Values PAC to help Democrats win elections — from progressive organizations to state legislatures to Congress to the White House — who share the values I grew up with in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.

Since 2006, Midwest Values PAC has invested more than $4 million in 341 candidates and organizations — and counting. 

Of course, none of this happens without you (or supporters like you) who care enough to pitch in.

As we mark our 20th anniversary, the work is more urgent than ever. This year, we have a big job: flip the House, take the Senate, and win up and down the ballot at the state and local level.

To mark our 20th year, we’ve set an ambitious goal: 26,000 contributions by Election Day 2026.
