Most days, I highlight what’s going wrong in Washington. Fair warning: that will continue.
But right now, I’d rather use this email to show you where your investment in MVP goes: candidates willing to run on strong ideas.
Jon Ossoff is campaigning in a state Trump carried twice, and he hasn’t softened his message for it. His diagnosis: “Too many Georgians can’t afford health care. The high cost is driven by the corrupt influence … in Washington.”
Mary Peltola isn’t interested in spin either. “Alaskans are being crushed by the special-interest price hikes coming out of DC — but I will stand up to anyone to put Alaska first and fight for lower costs.”
James Talarico isn’t mincing words in Texas. At his campaign launch in Houston, he told a crowd of a thousand supporters flatly: “Ken Paxton is the most corrupt politician in America.”
Roy Cooper has never lost a race in North Carolina, and he launched this one with a pledge as simple as it gets: “make stuff cost less.”
And in Illinois, Juliana Stratton says: “Illinoisans deserve a life where they can put food on the table without worrying about making rent or skipping their medication to afford it.”
Different states, different races, same instinct: say what you mean, stand up for what is right and let voters decide. That is exactly what Midwest Values PAC exists to back.
Whatever you can send before then goes straight to candidates who are earning it.

P.S. I had plenty of material for another doom-and-gloom email today. I chose this instead, because it felt more important to remember why we’re in this fight.
