Terrifying Election Approaching

As we all know, there’s a really important and terrifying election fast approaching. And we also all know, we have to win. It’s Midwest Values PAC’s mission to help Democrats do just that (win) up and down the ballot.

The beginning of a new year and the resolutions that come with it mean a lot of things to different people — like exercising more, eating healthier foods, or volunteering for an admirable cause. Am I making you feel bad yet? I thought so!

If you didn’t make a New Year’s resolution this year, I have a suggestion!

Help me help Democrats win by contributing to your favorite PAC. And if you made a New Year’s resolution, then build on that energy by contributing to your favorite PAC? And if your resolution this year was to help Democrats win important elections, why haven’t you stepped up to be a recurring monthly contributor to your favorite PAC?

We’re making smart use of your contributions by investing them in campaigns that will strengthen democratic infrastructure in 2024 the same way we did in 2022. Last cycle we helped raise well over $100,000 for UNITE HERE, the hospitality workers who were on the ground in the key battleground states of Pennsylvania, Nevada, Arizona, and Georgia. (I coined the phrase, doorknock for Warnock!) 

We’re also contributing directly to top-tier Senate campaigns, like Jon Tester in Montana who’s up for re-election and won his last election in 2018 by just 18,000 votes. And Colin Allred in Texas who is running against my arch nemesis, Ted Cruz.

What better way to set the tone for 2024 than a contribution to… you guessed it: your favorite PAC, MVP?

Somehow, it’s been 20 years since I started Midwest Values PAC to help Democrats win elections — from progressive organizations to state legislatures to Congress to the White House — who share the values I grew up with in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.

Since 2006, Midwest Values PAC has invested more than $4 million in 341 candidates and organizations — and counting.

As we mark our 20th anniversary, the work is more urgent than ever. This year, we have a big job: flip the House, take the Senate, and win up and down the ballot at the state and local level.

To mark our 20th year, we’ve set an ambitious goal: 26,000 contributions by Election Day 2026.
