The mid-year deadline is tomorrow. It’s a big deal because there is only one of these a year. It’s also the last day to raise money before we file our official report with the FEC — which, if you’re not fluent in political acronyms, stands for the Federal Election Commission.
How much we raise this quarter determines how much we can give away to support progressive candidates, state parties, and Democratic organizations that do the on-the-ground work needed to win.
So yeah, it’s important.
Now, my team and I are trying to find the least annoying way to ask for money. (Some would say that’s an impossible request, but we’re optimists.)
Here’s where you come in. Cast your vote for whichever button offends you the least:
DONATE!
CONTRIBUTE!
CHIP IN!
PITCH IN!
GIVE!
HELP!
Tomorrow I’ll reveal the one that gets the most clicks — we’ll crown it “Least Annoying Ask” and use it forever. Or at least until the next FEC deadline.
