You know what I like about numbers? They don’t lie.
People do — especially the guy currently sitting in the Oval Office. He lies about everything. About the economy. About polls. About being right. He even lies about lying.
So instead of giving his lies any more oxygen, let’s focus on something that doesn’t need fact-checking: numbers that could decide the next election.
27 days. That’s how long we have until voters in California, New Jersey, and Virginia cast their ballots in the first major elections since Trump returned to the White House and started ruining people’s lives. Again.
11%. That’s the share of New Jersey voters still undecided — enough to decide whether the next governor is a principled leader like Democrat Mikie Sherrill or a MAGA sycophant.
400,000. That’s how many votes have already been cast in Virginia’s governor’s race, where Abigail Spanberger is the only Democrat in the nation who can flip a governor’s seat blue this year. (We can’t legally accept $400,000, but $400, $40, or $4 are all legal and appreciated.)
50. Passing Proposition 50 in California, the “Election Rigging Response Act”, could determine whether Democrats have a fair shot at winning back the House in 2026.
These numbers aren’t spin. They’re facts. And they add up to this: if we win these three fights, we can stop Trump from tightening his grip on power.
Midwest Values PAC is supporting these races because electing strong Democratic governors and passing Prop 50 will help stop Trump’s authoritarian playbook: red-state troops in blue cities to fight the “enemy within” (yes, seriously), mid-decade gerrymanders designed to rig the House map for 2026, and whatever other insanity he dreams up next.
Thanks,
Al
