HUGE upset in…Florida?

Just last week, I emailed you about how a Democrat won the mayor’s race in Boca Raton (yes, that Boca Raton) for the first time in three decades…by five votes. Five. That’s fewer people than are in line ahead of me at a decent deli.

Well last night, Democrats in Florida handed Trump and his band of Republican bootlickers another electoral slap in the face. The momentum is real, folks.

People are tired of what Republicans are selling, and they’re willing to listen.

So when you actually put in the work — when you talk to voters everywhere, not just in the places that feel easy — you can win anywhere. Even in deep-red districts. Even in Florida.

That’s exactly the kind of work MVP is investing in this cycle: supporting the candidates, organizations, and grassroots efforts that are showing up, knocking doors, and making the case everywhere. The case for how to get this country back on track and how to make it work for working folks.

But this doesn’t happen on its own. It takes resources. It takes organizing. And yes, it takes people like you stepping up and donating. So if you can, please chip in today to help keep this momentum going.

P.S. In a surprise to absolutely no one, Donald Trump voted by mail in this election — even though he was physically in the district while early in-person voting was happening. Almost like… he doesn’t actually believe the conspiracy theories he keeps yelling about. He just wants to make it harder for you to vote. Funny how that works.

Somehow, it’s been 20 years since I started Midwest Values PAC to help Democrats win elections — from progressive organizations to state legislatures to Congress to the White House — who share the values I grew up with in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.

Since 2006, Midwest Values PAC has invested more than $4 million in 341 candidates and organizations — and counting.

Of course, none of this happens without you (or supporters like you) who care enough to pitch in.

As we mark our 20th anniversary, the work is more urgent than ever. This year, we have a big job: flip the House, take the Senate, and win up and down the ballot at the state and local level.

To mark our 20th year, we’ve set an ambitious goal: 26,000 contributions by Election Day 2026.

Thanks for being part of this fight, and for sticking with us for 20 years (or for just joining — welcome!).

P.S. Over the years, okay, decades, we’ve helped Democrats win tough races all across the country by investing early, intelligently, and strategically. That’s how you flip seats. That’s how you protect democracy. And that’s how you stop the worst impulses of a president who never should have been president in the first place.
