OK — back to our regularly scheduled emailing:
Remember that email? Well, I’ve got some good news for you: Democracy is still hanging on.
We’re still here. We’re fighting back. And it’s working. Last month, millions of people in all 50 states participated in the No Kings Protest (the first anti-monarchy protest since 1812!). And recent polls show that Trump’s approval rating just hit an all-time low.
Americans are fed up and fired up. If you are, too, help Midwest Values PAC keep supporting candidates and causes who have the chutzpah to stand up to Trump’s dangerous agenda.
And don’t forget! There are Democrats in tough races this November who need our help.
Like Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill, a Navy pilot and former federal prosecutor, who is running for governor of New Jersey against a Trump-picked challenger. And in Virginia, Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger — a former CIA officer— is fighting to flip the governor’s seat blue, taking on an extreme opponent who’s anti-abortion, anti-democracy, and anti-middle class. These races aren’t just about their states — they’re major bellwethers for the midterms and the future of the country (no pressure!).

I hope you’re enjoying your 4th of July, celebrating our democracy — while we still have it.
We are the longest-living democracy on the planet, and the world is watching to see if we will let that slip away.
This past term of the Supreme Court reminded us of the stakes of this election. If Trump wins, he can get his multi-billionaire donors to provide Clarence Thomas and Sam Alito with luxurious retirements to make room for two 45-year-old justices who are just as extreme and will be on the Court for 30 to 35 years.
This nation’s fate is on a knife’s edge, and it’s clear that November’s election will be one of the most consequential in our history. This cycle Midwest Values PAC has been giving to Democrats up and down the ballot and, as always, will be supporting ground game operations in key battleground states. We can do that only with the help of those of you who receive these emails and support what we do at MVP.
I hope that you can help us take the House and keep the Senate and White House. It is impossible to overestimate the stakes.
