Can you help prove me right?

Tonight is the end of May, which means two things:

  1. My inbox is full of emails saying “URGENT! DEADLINE TONIGHT!”
  2. My team is nudging me to write you one of those emails.

They told me to explain that this is an important end-of-month deadline — and that we’re trying to give away more money this quarter than last.

So I sat down and said, “Okay, but can I just get to the point?” Because in my experience, the most effective way to ask for money… is to just ask for money.

So here it goes:

Can you donate $5 before the May fundraising deadline tonight?

If you’ve already given — thank you. If you haven’t — no guilt trip. Just a friendly nudge from a guy who believes in doing the work, telling the truth, and maybe throwing in a joke or two to keep us all sane.

And if we hit our goal tonight? My team has to admit I was right. Again. Which, let’s be honest, is really the most important thing.

Thanks,

Al

P.S. If you’re feeling generous (or just really want to help me win an argument with my team), you can give more than $5.
