Graham Platner is set to be our Democratic nominee for Maine’s U.S. Senate seat, taking on Susan Collins. Can you donate to help Midwest Values PAC max out to his campaign?
I’m personally ready to say goodbye to Susan Collins and hello to Graham Platner. My wife, Franni, is from Maine, so I’ve gotten to know Mainers over the years. That’s why I think Graham can really win. He’s a Marine Corps veteran, an oyster farmer (which already makes him more interesting than most senators), and a true working-class guy running a campaign powered by grassroots support.
And here’s the thing: Susan Collins is the most vulnerable Republican senator in the country. That’s why the GOP’s biggest Senate super PAC is dumping over $40 million into Maine to re-elect her.
There’s a reason they’re so worried, or as Susan Collins likes to say, “concerned.”
Now, I don’t want to be negative here… but also, I do. Because Susan Collins’ record is — how do I put this politely — deplorable:
- She was a decisive vote to confirm Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch, paving the way for the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade and gut the Voting Rights Act.
- She supported the GOP tax bill that gutted Medicaid by over a trillion dollars to bankroll tax breaks for billionaires
- She’s a reliable vote when Donald Trump needs one — often after expressing “concerns,” which I assume she stores in a very nice drawer and then never uses again.
- Oh and she even voted to confirm Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (and yes, we’re all seeing how that’s going).
I could keep going, but you get the idea. And I’d like to keep this email under novel length.
But the point is simple: Maine is winnable. This seat is flippable. And Graham Platner is the kind of candidate who can actually do it. But only if you (or supporters like you) step up now.

P.S. This seat has been in Republican hands since 1979! That’s 47 years! Donate now to help flip it blue and help Democrats win the Senate.
