Trump’s hogwash budget …

We already know Donald Trump cares more about this war than he does about daycare, Medicaid, or Medicare. He said it himself on camera this month. That’s not spin — that’s just…what he said.

But did you know about all the other domestic programs he wants to get rid of to pay for his $1.5 TRILLION military budget? He’s proposing cutting and gutting a whole range of domestic programs that millions of Americans rely on every day.

These are programs that help families stay afloat. Programs that keep seniors healthy. Programs that invest in our communities and keep us safe. 

I’m fairly sure no one voted for this. And I’m absolutely sure he didn’t campaign on it.

So if you’re as concerned as I am, I’m asking you to do something about it. Please donate to Midwest Values PAC today. We’re working to elect leaders who believe government should serve the people — not abandon them.

P.S. As if that weren’t enough, the Trump administration just announced plans to dismantle the U.S. Forest Service — closing all 10 regional offices and more than 50 research labs. And they’re doing it right before wildfire season. I’m pretty sure Smokey Bear would have a thing or two to say about that — because only you can prevent forest fires, but apparently not this administration.

Somehow, it’s been 20 years since I started Midwest Values PAC to help Democrats win elections — from progressive organizations to state legislatures to Congress to the White House — who share the values I grew up with in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.
