TX resorts to favorite way to win voters:

Yikes! Texas has officially resorted to one of their favorite ways to win voters: cheating.

The state’s new congressional maps are gerrymandered like never before — all in an explicit effort to TAKE AWAY five Democratic seats. The order to do so came directly from Trump, but Governor Abbott was quick to abide. And the state’s Democrats did what they could to delay the vote, but the new maps were passed last Thursday.

But do not be dismayed. Democrats are gearing up to fight back across the country. Also last Thursday, California lawmakers approved new maps to GAIN five Democratic seats! But unlike Texas Republicans who had an easy path, Californians will have a special election this November where VOTERS must approve them.

We’ll be watching closely as other states follow suit. MVP is prepared to support Democrats in these newly redrawn districts. The Midterms are our #1 opportunity to take back power in Washington, and we cannot continue our work without your support.

P.S. As the Midterms approach, the GOP’s attacks on voting rights will only intensify. And even the Supreme Court may weigh in to attack the very foundation of the Voting Rights Act. We must continue to defend our democracy!
