THE STAKES

Coach Walz said it clearly at the convention: “When somebody takes the time to draw up a playbook, they’re going to use it.”

Project 2025 isn’t just weird. It’s an existential threat to our democracy. Here are just a few of the things it would do:

  • Give the president more control over the Justice Department
  • Threaten access to IVF
  • Use the military to break up protests
  • Reverse FDA approval of abortion medication
  • Ditch efforts to fight climate change and gut the NOAA
  • Give tax breaks for the rich and raise taxes on the middle class
  • Make cuts to Medicare

The list from the 900-page document goes on and on. What I left out — like gutting union protections — is an absolute nightmare.

It’s hard to believe what our beloved country could become if we lose this election.

We are now funding ground-game operations in battleground states and have maxed out to every Senate race where we can possibly win — not to mention a slew of House races and state parties. Please, please help us elect Vice President Kamala Harris to the White House, keep the Senate, and flip the House.

Somehow, it’s been 20 years since I started Midwest Values PAC to help Democrats win elections — from progressive organizations to state legislatures to Congress to the White House — who share the values I grew up with in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.
