There are two things I want you to remember:

  1. The April fundraising deadline is the day after tomorrow.
  2. Tomorrow is Trump’s 100th day back in office (yes, somehow, again…).

Let’s start with the first one.

Here at Midwest Values PAC, we absolutely love giving away money. Really. Nothing makes us happier than cutting checks to causes, candidates, and organizations that share our values — things like economic and social justice, accountability for the powerful, and opportunity for everyone. You know, good stuff.

But here’s the thing: how much we can give away depends on how much folks like you contribute.

Last cycle, MVP had its most successful fundraising effort ever. And we put that money to work — helping progressive candidates and state parties do the real, on-the-ground organizing it takes to win elections. Now, we’re trying to beat that record. Because the stakes have never been higher.

Which brings me to point number two.

Tomorrow marks 100 days of Donald Trump back in the Oval Office. I wish I had something positive to say about that milestone, but all I’ve got is this: it’s a glaring reminder of why we’re doing this work in the first place.

So, if you’re as fired up as I am — and I mean fired up in that Midwestern, quietly-furious-with-a-forced-smile kind of way — please consider making a donation before the deadline on Wednesday. It really will make a difference.

P.S. This appeal deserves a “custom ask”. Today is Trump’s 99th day in office. Mark the occasion by contributing $99! Or $9.90!

Somehow, it’s been 20 years since I started Midwest Values PAC to help Democrats win elections — from progressive organizations to state legislatures to Congress to the White House — who share the values I grew up with in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.

Since 2006, Midwest Values PAC has invested more than $4 million in 341 candidates and organizations — and counting.

Of course, none of this happens without you (or supporters like you) who care enough to pitch in.

As we mark our 20th anniversary, the work is more urgent than ever. This year, we have a big job: flip the House, take the Senate, and win up and down the ballot at the state and local level.

To mark our 20th year, we’ve set an ambitious goal: 26,000 contributions by Election Day 2026.

Thanks for being part of this fight, and for sticking with us for 20 years (or for just joining — welcome!).

P.S. Over the years, okay, decades, we’ve helped Democrats win tough races all across the country by investing early, intelligently, and strategically. That’s how you flip seats. That’s how you protect democracy. And that’s how you stop the worst impulses of a president who never should have been president in the first place.
