The Daily Times: Lentz gets backing of major general

UPPER DARBY – A retired Army major general formerly in charge of training Iraqi troops teamed up with a local Iraq War Purple Heart recipient Saturday in endorsing state Rep. Bryan Lentz’s campaign for the 7th Congressional District.

Maj. Gen. Paul Eaton, commanding general of the Coalition Military Assistance Training Team in Iraq from 2003 to 2004, and retired Army Capt. Shannon Meehan, a Secane native and former tank platoon leader for the 1st Cavalry Division, endorsed Lentz, D-161, of Swarthmore, in front of more than 50 veterans and supporters at the Upper Darby American Legion Post 214.

Delaware County Daily Times: Lentz earns endorsement

State Rep. Bryan Lentz, D-161, of Swarthmore, the Democratic candidate in the 7th Congressional District race, was recently endorsed by the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare.

The announcement of the endorsement was made during a Lentz town hall forum Tuesday night at the Herbert W. Best VFW Post 928 in Folsom.

RADNOR — State Rep. Bryan Lentz, the Democratic candidate for the 7th Congressional District, discussed his plans for the nation’s economic recovery during a town hall forum Saturday afternoon.

“The No. 1 issue throughout this country and particularly this district is jobs,” said Lentz, while addressing a group of residents at the Wayne Art Center off Maplewood Avenue.
