Wausau Daily Herald: LETTER: Feingold part of a Wis. tradition

EDITOR: On Friday night, U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold appeared alone on PBS’s Here and Now program because Ron Johnston ducked out — again. His supporters in the Tea Party must be suffering some buyers’ remorse about now.

The biggest irony is that this ruling-class millionaire snob has been able to con so many Wisconsinites into thinking he’s their friend. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Johnson wants to restore Bush’s income tax breaks for those making more than $250,000, and he blithely refers to the outsourcing of manufacturing jobs as “creative destruction.” When asked what cuts he would make in government spending he said, “I’m not going to get into that game because I’ll be attacked.” In other words, the guy’s an empty suit who doesn’t have the brains or heart to represent average citizens.
