What I would like to say...

I finished reading Benjamin Franklin An American Life by Walter Isaacson. If you ever start forgetting what it's like to be middle class, and what an American is about - then this book will help refresh your memory.
Isn't it great having healthcare these days? Don't you just love it when you have to pay a high monthly premium, and you still have to pay a copayment for doctor visits and hospital stays? There's nothing I'd like better than to wake up from a coma, and have a large bill shoved in my face. We need campaign finance reform and to expand Medicare and Medicaid for Universal Health Care (1).

A while back I was inspired by Al Franken on his show to join the Virtual
March Against Global Warming. Now it goes by the title stopglobalwarming.org.
If you're registered with it, then you would notice there's a feature that calculates your energy savings, and gives you great tips for saving energy. Unfortunately, when you log in the first person you see is Senator John McCain. Though I have a Republican relative in Arizona who doesn't like him either. But, that's beside the point. Anyway, I would like to offer you all a challenge. Go to the stopglobalwarming.org website, find my profile (it's listed under Tom zip code 55405), and see if you can top my level of energy savings. Saving energy may be easier than you think.
